ISEK Conference Awards

Oral and Poster Student Awards

We are pleased to announce that we will grant a number of Oral and Poster Student Awards at the 2026 Congress.

Supporting and encouraging student researchers is essential for the future of any field of scientific inquiry. The ISEK Awards program is in place to acknowledge those student members with an outstanding academic record in the field of Electrophysiology and Kinesiology.

Eligibility

  • Must be a full-time graduate student
  • Must submit an individual oral or poster abstract for the 2026 Congress
  • Must be available to present at the 2026 Congress
  • Must be a presenting and first author on the submission
  • Must indicate interest and confirm eligibility when submitting an abstract

Diversity Travel Awards

The organizing committee for ISEK 2026 are looking into providing grants for individuals who may encounter difficulties attending the congress. The aim of providing these awards is to ensure that all of our scientific community is represented. Some examples of diversity could be your field of research, first generation university student, or delegate from an under-represented group. Please note any information shared will be kept confidential from the general ISEK attendees but will be available for the DEI team to review.

Eligibility

  • Must be ISEK Member in good standing
  • Submit an oral or poster abstract for the 2026 Congress
  • Must be available to present at the 2026 Congress
  • Must be a presenting and first author on the submission
  • Must indicate interest and confirm eligibility when submitting an abstract

How to Apply

As a student member, you can apply to be considered for an award when submitting your abstract online.

Please note, each awardee is only eligible to win one award.

Please note that given the changes in US policy, our access to the previously funded NIH grant used to support some travel awards at the ISEK congress in 2024 is currently uncertain for 2026. Irrespective of the NIH outcome, ISEK will continue to do what we can to support our academics to attend the congress, including subsidising the ECR and student congress registration by 30-40%. Irrespective of what additional financial support is possible, we aspire to make the 4-day congress value for money for all attendees.

While we wait for confirmation of the funds that we will have available, we ask that those eligible please apply for the support options listed, knowing that the number and value of the support that will be offered remains uncertain. We will do what we can to announce any financial support early in the new year. This support, if available, may need to be provided as a part refund to registrations already processed rather than a reduction in cost at the time of registration.
