Endorsement Guidelines for Events

Events may include conferences, workshops, symposia, summer/winter schools, and other major activities focused on human movement and the neuromuscular system. General guidelines for ISEK event endorsement/partnership are provided below. ISEK reserves the right to endorse events on a case-by-case basis.

ISEK offers three levels of endorsement:

Posting-only

Approval Process: Two Council members must approve posting.
ISEK Responsibilities: Post event on website under “Other activities” tab.

Affiliated

Approval Process: Council must approve ISEK affiliation with event.
ISEK Responsibilities: Post event on website under “Affiliated events” tab. May also mention it in newsletter, flyer, poster, other website(s), etc.

Partnered

Approval Process: Council must approve partnering with event.
ISEK Responsibilities: Post event on website under its own section. Must also mention it in at least one newsletter, flyer, poster, other website(s), etc. Must co-organize the event with the external organization. 

All endorsements:

  1. All proposed endorsements will be reviewed by ISEK.
  2. The aims of the host organization must align with those of the ISEK.
  3. The proposer must confirm the following paragraph:
    The organizing committee must include established electrophysiology and/or kinesiology practitioners and/or researchers. Additionally, human movement and the neuromuscular system must be a significant focus of the proposed organization or event. The organizing entity must have already approved the event and must be capable of hosting the event. All events and organizers must be committed to ethical aspects including respect for participant confidentiality, publication and invention rights, ethical media interaction, non-discrimination, and appropriate overall goals of both the event and organizers. The organizing entity must uphold the ISEK principles of diversity, equality and inclusivity.
  4. The proposed posting for the ISEK website must include the event name, location, date(s), organizing entity, responsible person, contact information, and at least one external link with more details. ISEK may edit or remove any posting at its discretion.
  5. The organizing entity must be a non-profit organization.
  6. Abstracts for endorsed events must be reviewed through a peer-review process.
  7. The proposer must promptly inform the ISEK of major changes such as a cancellation or postponement.
  8. ISEK can at any time withdraw from the agreement to endorse, if it decides the event no longer meets the endorsement guidelines.
  9. Additional requirements are presented below for the three endorsement levels.

Posting Only:

  1. The proposed posting may include up to half a page of supporting text with up to two logos or graphics.

Affiliated:

  1. The proposed posting may have up to one page of text and graphics.
  2. The event should link directly with the activities of ISEK through e.g. the inclusion of ISEK supported sessions within the programme, the provision of a discount to ISEK members at the event, or similar initiatives.
  3. The organizer must mention that this activity is affiliated with ISEK on their event website and/or other publicly available event materials. The organizer may use the ISEK name and logo for this purpose only.

Partnered:

  1. ISEK will create a section on its web page dedicated to the event.
  2. ISEK and/or external organization may be involved in different financial aspects of the event, which shall be detailed prior to approval.
  3. The organizer must mention that this activity is partnered with ISEK on their event website and/or other publicly available event materials. The organizer may use the ISEK name and logo for this purpose only.
  4. The event must be co-organized with ISEK.
