The Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology (BPK) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer with an emphasis on experimental, theoretical, and computational aspects of kinesiology and biomechanics. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, demonstrated excellence in face to face and online teaching, and enthusiasm for overseeing and guiding undergraduate students in the research process.
The Lecturer will lead an effort to incorporate quantitative thinking and programming across the BPK curriculum and will have experience, and a vision for, teaching quantitative methods to students who have differing backgrounds. They will be responsible for optimizing and teaching lecture and laboratory courses with a focus on quantitative and computational analyses and biomechanics, including BPK 304W (Inquiry and Measurement in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology) and BPK 201 (Biomechanics). They will also redesign and/or teach other courses as needed, particularly laboratory courses on biomechanics, motor control and motor learning including BPK 301 (Biomechanics Laboratory) and BPK 308 (Experiments and Models in Systems Physiology).
