Candidates for a PhD fellowship on Biomedical Engineering are urgently required. The candidate will carry out his/her PhD. Thesis at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC, www.upc.edu) in Barcelona.

We are looking for candidates who want to work on biomedical signal processing such as EEG or EMG (also signal recording and instrumentation will be valuated) and interested in neurosciences (brain connectivity, cerebral networks, and brain sources) and neuromuscular function and rehabilitation based on high density surface EMG. Topics are related to epilepsy, or motor rehabilitation after brain stroke. The candidates will join the BIOART Group (bioart.upc.edu) which belongs to the Biomedical Engineering Research Center (www.creb.upc.edu) from the UPC. The candidate will find a young but very active environment to develop his/her career with collaboration with other international and national groups and hospitals. Particularly, the PhD Thesis would be developed in close collaboration with the Hospital San Juan de Dios or Parc Salut Mar. The BIOART Group coordinates several projects funded by European (in the H2020 and Marie Curie frameworks), National (from the Spanish Minister) and Regional Governments.

REQUIREMENTS: To finish the first year of Msc during this academic year could be enough to apply for this grants. The scores for Bachelor must be higher than 8 (over 10). Otherwise, there is no chance to get the grant.
