Postdoctoral Researchers on biomedical engineering are urgently required to participate in the Call “Beatriu de Pinos postdoctoral fellowship”. The candidate will work at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC, in Barcelona.

We are looking for candidates expert on biomedical signal recording and processing such as EEG and EMG. Signal recording, instrumentation and electronics background will be also valuated. Experience in neurosciences (brain connectivity, cerebral networks, and brain sources) or neuromuscular function and rehabilitation based on EMG is required. The candidate will participate in a project to evaluate upper arm rehabilitation of stroke patients using data fusion of EEG and high density surface EMG. An experimental protocol will be prepared and carried out in a clinical trial.

The candidates will join the BIOART Group ( which belongs to the Biomedical Engineering Research Center ( from the UPC.  The candidate will find a very active environment with other engineers and PhD members to develop his/her career with collaboration with other international and national groups and hospitals. A postdoc contract for 3 years with additional funds (12.000 Keuros) for his/her research is offered. The main requirements from the Call are the following:


  • PhD defended between 1st January 2011 and 31st December 2016.
  • A minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience outside of Spain.
  • Not have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months over the last 3 years.
  • At least 15-20 publications in indexed journals (or less with high IF), some of them (minimum 10) in Q1.
  • Experience in projects with companies and in technology transfer will be valuated
