ISEK 2018 will be held on the leafy campus of University College Dublin (UCD), one of Europe’s leading research-intensive universities and Ireland’s largest university. UCD is located on a beautiful leafy 133-hectare campus (known as Belfield) 4 Km to the south of Dublin’s city centre. The campus provides a mix of academic facilities, research institutes, libraries and archival collections, enterprise space, student villages, and sports and recreational facilities. The conference will take place in 2 adjacent buildings on the campus – the O’Brien Centre for Science will play host to the plenary sessions as well as the congress registration desk and lunch. The newly built O’Reilly Hall will host our exhibitors, tea/coffee breaks and all breakout sessions. There is free campus Wi-Fi and Eduroam available throughout the campus. During the conference, delegates can take a break to enjoy some of the woodland paths and walks that have been developed across the 133 hectare campus.
O’Reilly Hall (registration/plenary/lunch)
The best of contemporary architecture and Irish art have created O’Reilly Hall. Within the imposing facade is one of Ireland’s largest and most prestigious venues. O’Reilly Hall, encompassing an area of 2,632 square meters, was designed by renowned architects Scott Tallon Walker.
The airy conservatory overlooking the campus lake will be where you will register for the congress on the first day and where lunch will be served from throughout the congress.
